Church Hire connects churches with vetted independent contractors such as administrative assistants, media professionals, and other ministry support providers. These contractors are engaged directly by Church Hire on an independent basis and are not employees of Church Hire or of the church.
Churches may delegate tasks and communicate directly with their assigned contractor. Church Hire monitors contractor activity for professionalism, reliability, and adherence to general performance standards; however, churches are solely responsible for:
Defining and communicating tasks, deadlines, and expectations.
Evaluating the quality, accuracy, and effectiveness of completed work.
Church Hire is not responsible for disputes, non-performance, or other issues related to contractor engagements. Church Hire is not liable for the performance, quality, or results of contractor deliverables. Responsibility for day-to-day direction and satisfaction with output rests with the church. Any issues arising from unclear instructions, task scope, or quality concerns must be addressed directly by the church with the assigned contractor.
Engaging contractors outside the Church Hire platform is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.
Users agree to safeguard the confidentiality of all personal and church-related information shared on the platform. Church Hire will adhere to its Privacy Policy when collecting, storing, and processing user data. Misuse of user data by other parties is outside Church Hire’s control and liability.
If Church Hire identifies a security breach, impacted users will be notified promptly. Notifications will include a description of the breach, potential risks, and measures to mitigate harm. Security alerts will be issued via email and platform notifications.
In the event of a default by Church Hire, the parties agree that the user’s damages shall be limited to the fees paid to Church Hire pursuant to this Agreement. Users will not be entitled to any further, incidental, or consequential damages, regardless of the nature of the claim or the circumstances. While Church Hire strives to provide reliable and high-quality services, users assume full responsibility for their interactions and decisions on the platform, including engagements with contractors or reliance on the platform’s features. This limitation of liability also extends to and protects Church Hire’s employees, owners, affiliates, and independent contractors.
If a user defaults under these Terms, Church Hire is entitled to recover reasonable costs associated with enforcing this Agreement, including attorneys’ fees, expert witness fees, deposition costs, and travel expenses.
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Church Hire, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from their actions. This includes negligence, wrongful acts, or violations of applicable laws. Users will defend Church Hire against such claims at their own expense and cover any legal costs incurred.
Church Hire makes no guarantees or warranties, express or implied, regarding the outcomes or performance of its services. The platform and its features are provided “as is” and “as available.” Users acknowledge that Church Hire does not guarantee ministry growth, staff performance, or project outcomes. All risks associated with using the platform are assumed by the user.
If any event occurs that materially hampers Church Hire’s ability to perform its obligations under this Agreement, and the event is beyond its reasonable control, Church Hire’s performance will be suspended for the duration of the event. Such events include, but are not limited to, Acts of God (e.g., fire, flood, earthquake), acts of terrorism or war, labor strikes, work stoppages, boycotts, government actions, or technical failures.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. All disputes will be resolved exclusively in McLean County, Illinois. Users agree to submit to this jurisdiction and venue.
